About Montgomery County Criminal History

Montgomery County criminal records are divided among municipal police departments, the county courts and correctional facility, the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, Pennsylvania DOC, and the Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law Public Website. We built this private reference resource to make that division clear and help readers reach the official portal, counter, or phone line that actually maintains the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Pennsylvania offers several public access routes, yet no single office holds a complete Montgomery County history. The Clerk of Courts maintains Common Pleas criminal files. Magisterial District Courts keep preliminary and summary matters. Police agencies retain their own reports, Montgomery County Correctional Facility handles county custody, and PSP operates the statewide repository and public registry. This site brings the verified contacts, request steps, search fields, fees, and access limits for those separate sources into one organized reference.

What You Will Find Here

  • Local record routes: how Montgomery County court, arrest, custody, and police files are found and read
  • Official checks: the difference between PATCH, PSP Access and Review, and authorized IdentoGO fingerprint channels
  • Verified contacts: where to reach the Clerk, correctional facility, police records units, and Pennsylvania systems
  • Record relief: how Pennsylvania expungement, petition-based limited access, and Clean Slate processing differ

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, with no affiliation to Montgomery County, a Pennsylvania court, a police department, or any state agency. Those boundaries matter:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot promise that a fee, office hour, phone number, or address has not changed

Only the office that maintains a record can issue its official copy. In Montgomery County, that may be the filing court, the arresting police agency, the correctional facility, or the Pennsylvania State Police.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes found on some pages. They control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set the provider's charges, assemble its data, or control what appears in a result.
